The Photo Editor

The Photo Editor enables you to perform a wide range of tasks to improve or alter your photo ready for your web pages. You can resize, crop, rotate, change the contrast, brightness, saturation, hue and even sharpen or blur your photos.

You can experiment with the controls on your photo so that you enhance it to its maximum. The photo editor will always keep a copy of the original so if you mess it up or decide to change it again later then you can simply undo the changes. If you want to revert to the one on your web page then you can exit the editor. When you’re happy with the way your photo looks on your page, select save.

As a rule you should target for a photo of approximately 200 pixels wide for small illustrations and thumbnails, and 600 pixels wide for larger images. The editor will display the size of the image.

Captioned Images

You can further customise the look of your photos from the display tab. This enables you to add captions to your photos and set the size of the thumbnail image, if you want one. This will display as a small image of your photo on your webpage but when the visitor clicks on it then it will open into a full size image, complete with the caption you added.

If you have many thumbnail images then they will display individually in a window so that the visitor can see them as a slideshow.

Gallery

An image gallery allows you to display multiple images or photos on your webpage. Choose the images you want in your gallery and you can display them all in a grid format with up to 5 across the page.

You can have captions with your images and set them as thumbnails to be viewed in a slideshow. You have the flexibility to present your photos on a  background canvas in a color and width of your choices.

Further options allow you to sort all the photos in order of caption or filename or move any individual image up or down in order.
