Inserting a New Object

There are 2 ways to insert a new paragraph, graphic, image or form onto your webpage.

  1. Click on any object on the page and you can select the type of object and whether you want it positioned before or after the item that you had initially clicked on. Using this method will link the new object to the existing one so that it will always be in the selected position regardless of any changes in the browser size.
  2. Select the New Object icon on the Page Control menu. You can then drag it into any position that you desire as it is in free format mode.

Page Properties

To set the color of your background simply click on the square color and the editor will pop up, enabling you to choose another color.

To enable people to find your website using the search engines you will need to enter some relevant information, such as the Page title, keywords and a short description. The description is used by the search engines to display details about your website. "Keywords" are a list of words and short phrases that people might use when defining their search request with the engines.

You should also enter some file tags to categorize your pages. This will enable you to perform future searches to find pages within your File Manager. It will also be used in the future when we have developed the 350pages community.

You can also set the width of your chosen template here - variable will automatically stretch the template inline with your content, whilst fixed will make the website look uniform across all computers. The choice is yours!

Saving and Publishing your Webpage

When you have finished customizing your webpage and want to save it, you should select the "tick" icon on the Page Controls menu. You can then select to save it, publish it, edit the page properties or abandon it.

To publish your page to the web simply check the Publish box and then give your page a name. Remember to set up your page properties of information so that people will be able to find you in the search engines.
